Welcome to my ninth newsletter.
It has again been some time since I last posted, and considering how much more time I may have had on my hands, because of the full shut down in the arts, actually, with less to aim for show wise it has been a slower period of art production, and more of a consolidation of ongoing projects this year. Several works in progress from last year are very much still in progress, though with the advantage of a large studio this has been great, and I now have many more works out in the open, which will be good for any visitors who manage to get to my mini open studios event, which runs from Saturday 12th September until Tuesday 15th. It is of course now that the wonderful Bridport Open Studios would normally be in full swing, with visitors coming from far and wide to explore the West Dorset Arts scene and its stunning landscape, though sadly postponed this year.

If you want to pop along, email me for directions and it would be great to see anyone in the area.
Reading back on progress in May, actually some of the plans have progressed. I have now posted a rebuilt 'shotgunshellswormington' on to my saatchiartsite. I am really pleased with the new floating frame, the removal of the glass and aluminium edging and the softer, more tactile feel. I have been experimenting with epoxy resin as a mounting adhesive and the first results work well, and eradicate the need to trap objects behind glass.

Ive been framing a lot of plastic collections, many of which will be on display and published shortly when Ive processed images and written content for the website. I again will be writing about the places from which the objects come from and how I have managed to amass some of them. I have gone through almost all of my various gatherings and put most in transparent bags so I can finally see what is going on. Interesting realisations have led to some new repetitive work ideas. Though not yet published, I am particularly excited by the fishing bait collections and one of sand moulds among others!
The first 3 of my works in the artistsupportpledge have now been uploaded to instagram, and i am going to re-offer them at £40 each. Each one comes with its own plinth. The 3 works are 'The Great Escape' (after the Blur album, of course), 'The Cricket Match' and 'Batrace'. Email me for more info on these as I have not posted all of them on my website yet.
Again, thanks for taking the time to read my posts, and for all the support, comments, visits etc, hope to see you all soon.
