This was another instant creation from my summer 2015 camping trip to Marche in Northern Italy. I have often considered this theme ever since studying the classic modernist sculptors of the early to mid twentieth century such as Moore, Hepworth and Caro. It is a theme that recurs through art history and one which comes naturally through an exploration of the relationship of the forms. There is a strong reference to nurturing, growth and development here that I have rarely achieved elsewhere in my work.
