This simple collection all came from a tiny inlet on the shoreline of a beautiful lake in the heart of Umbria. As often, I wondered why these objects here? I guess clothes pegs (mollette) and fresh water have a historical connection. It is always wonderful to appreciate the distinctive common design details, the various worn surfaces, and stunning hues of the eroded forms. This instantly became a favourite repetition work for its playful scheme, and the irresistible urge to imagine the objects as a giant parading regiment of robots!
